Pacific Air Cargo LLC today announced that effective October 27, 2014 the Company will begin operating from a newly refurbished cargo facility at 5908 Avion Drive, off West Century Boulevard at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) which also houses the operation of Cathay Pacific Cargo.
“All the team at Pacific Air Cargo are excited about the move to our new Los Angeles hub and I would like to take this opportunity of thanking each and every one of them for their continued dedication and hard work,” said Pacific Air Cargo CEO, Ms. Beti Ward. Adding, “Our well-earned reputation for quick turn times is an important cornerstone of PAC’s great service and that will continue as we move up from our present seven docking gates to thirty-five at this new world class facility” Ms. Ward added.
Earlier this month, Pacific Air Cargo announced it would introduce a sixth weekly service on Mondays, beginning November 3, 2014. This extra flight will provide almost half a million pounds of additional weekly capacity to the route between Honolulu and Los Angeles. Vice President Operations for Pacific Air Cargo, Mr. Thomas Ingram said, “I am sure our many loyal customers are going to really appreciate the spaciousness at our new Los Angeles facility which allows for simultaneous maneuvering of numerous large vehicles. Indoors we have our own large refrigeration unit for perishable goods and there’s ample space for handling outsize consignments, and for us to continue to grow.”
Mr. Ingram said that Ms. Ward wanted to celebrate the move to the new Los Angeles facility with her PAC Team and with the Company’s many loyal customers, suppliers and partners by hosting a traditional Hawaiian blessing and Luau early in the New Year.
